Thursday 2 April 2026 - Non Uniform Day
Re: Non-Uniform Day
Based on the strong feedback we have received from students, and as a reward for their efforts this term, we are pleased to announce that on Thursday 2 April 2026 (the last day of the Spring term) we will be trialling the return of a non-uniform day.
To take part, we are asking students to bring in an Easter chocolate donation which will be presented to the Isle of Axholme Foodshare Project. This could be something as simple as a bar of chocolate or something larger such as an Easter egg.
For those who are unable to bring chocolate, students are welcome to donate £1 instead, which will go towards purchasing additional Easter products for the donation.
If your family is currently experiencing financial hardship and you feel you may struggle to donate, please do not worry. You are welcome to email admin@southaxholme-iet.co.uk, and the relevant pastoral lead will contact you directly.
Please be aware that unless otherwise agreed with your child’s pastoral lead, donations will be collected on entry to the school building.
Students are, of course, welcome to attend in full school uniform and not donate if they prefer.
We do ask that students dress appropriately. The following guidelines will apply:
-
No revealing clothing (no parts of the body on show that would normally be covered by uniform).
-
No offensive wording, offensive logos or imagery on clothing.
-
No hair dye, stick on eye lashes or false nails.
-
No jewellery.
Trainers and hoodies will be permitted as will any other sensible non-school based items.
Please do be aware that if a student’s outfit is deemed inappropriate, the academy reserves the right to ask them to borrow uniform from our spare stock for the day or wait in Reflection area until appropriate clothes are brought into the building.
We had no issues during the sponsored walk and Festive Jumper Day earlier this academic year when students last wore non-uniform items, and we hope to see the same level of maturity on 2 April.
Many of you have shared that, wherever possible, you would like our fundraising efforts to support local charities. By supporting the Isle of Axholme Foodshare Project, we believe we are backing a particularly worthwhile cause that does exactly that – gives back directly to people in need within our own community.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback.
