At South Axholme Academy we use a programme called Bedrock. This is used to teach/check vocabulary, grammar and students' knowledge of words, grammar and background knowledge, that underpins reading comprehension and academic success. We have recently introduced a House Competition in the English Department to test students' vocabulary knowledge, and the winners were Joe in 7W and Hattie in 7H. Well done!
