We are delighted that you would like to apply for a place at South Axholme Academy. South Axholme Academy currently adheres to the North Lincolnshire LA Admissions Policy.
Applications for places at the Academy will, therefore, need to be made in accordance with the statutory Admission Code and will be managed by the Local Authority on behalf of South Axholme Academy.
Applications for a place from Year 6 to Year 7 for a September start:
The Local Authority will inform parents of the outcome of their application on the Academy’s behalf. If a place is refused by the Local Authority, the reason for the refusal and information on the appeals process will be provided by them.
For places for new Year 7 students at the start of the next academic year, the Local Authority will communicate the outcome of individual applications to parents on the Academy’s behalf on the national offer day.
Each September we hold a Year 6 parent and student evening where prospective new Year 7 students for the following academic year can come and see our academy in action, hear from key staff and meet us. We also hold calendared academy tours in September and October for interested families to visit us on a normal working day. These tours are by appointment only. For more information about any of our admissions events, please contact the academy.
Transfers and Mid-Year Applications:
If you are applying for a place part way through the year (normally due to a house move) you must do so through North Lincolnshire Council who manage all of our admissions. If you would like to arrange a visit before making a transfer or mid-year application request, please contact the academy.
Should you be unsuccessful in gaining a place for your child to attend South Axholme Academy, North Lincolnshire Council provide an appeals service.
